These are hand-woven willow over a light frame, sold as a nesting pair with a lid for each. The weave is tight enough to hide what is inside and open enough that the basket does not feel like a box.

Willow takes a stain cleanly, so the same pair can be produced in natural, dark brown or a washed white without changing the construction. Send us a colour reference and we will match it.

Can I buy the two sizes separately?

Yes, but the pair price is better because they share a frame jig. Tell us which split you want.

Will the willow split in a dry climate?

Willow holds up better than most materials in dry air, but we still recommend a light oil once or twice a year if you are shipping to a very dry market.
