Narrow Folding Bamboo Screen, 180 x 45 cm

Sometimes 50 cm is five centimetres too wide. A doorway, a hallway end, the gap beside a wardrobe: these are the jobs a narrow panel does better.

Our weaving workshop has specialized in woven products for over 30 years. This bamboo screen runs a 45 cm panel at 180 cm tall, and because it is made to order we can move both numbers. Tell us the width you need and we will quote against your drawing.

Everything else stays the same as our standard screens: hand-woven split bamboo, solid pine frame, hinges that fold both ways.

Can I order a different number of panels?

Four panels is the standard set, and the one we hold frame components for. We also build 2, 3, 5 and 6 panel versions. Panel count is independent of panel size, so a 2-panel 200 cm screen is as straightforward as a 6-panel 180 cm one. Custom counts carry the same 50 piece minimum per configuration.

What is the narrowest panel you can make?

Around 35 cm before the frame starts to look heavy for the infill. Below that we would suggest a fixed panel instead of a folding one.

Does made to order mean a longer lead time?

The sample takes about a week either way. Bulk runs 30 to 45 days. A custom width adds a few days for the first article, then it runs like a stock size.

Can I get a different height?

Yes. 180 cm is the common request, but we have built these from 120 cm to 220 cm. Send the height and we will check the frame before quoting.
