Description

Natural Reed Hanging Panel Screen | Ceiling-Mounted Divider

A reed panel hung from the ceiling divides a room without closing it off. Daylight still passes through the weave, the shape of the space changes, and nothing has to be built in. We weave these panels from natural reed on the frames we have run since 2014, and finish each one with a solid wood batten so it hangs flat and stays flat.

Perfect for:
Hotel lobbies and restaurant rooms that need zones without walls, open-plan offices that want a quieter corner, and homes splitting a living area from a workspace. Hang one panel on its own, or run several in a row to make a continuous screen.

Product Description

Set of 3 Natural Reed Roll-up Blinds in Multiple Colors - WovenNatural

A Reed Panel That Divides a Room Without Closing It Off

Most rooms are either too open or too closed. A partition wall solves one problem and creates another. A reed panel hung from the ceiling is the middle option: it sets a boundary you can see through, so a dining area reads as separate without turning into a box.

Three things decide how a hanging panel behaves: weave density, drop, and the ceiling fixing. Density controls how much light and sight line get through. The drop sets where the panel stops, and the gap at the floor is what keeps the room feeling connected. The fixing decides whether the top edge stays straight after two dry winters.

Key Features:
  • Natural reed, bound rather than framed: thin reed stems laid in dense parallel rows and tied with cotton thread at even intervals, so the panel holds its shape with no frame across the face.
  • Ceiling-mounted on a solid wood batten: the reeds are folded over the batten and stitched to it, keeping the top edge rigid. Steel cords and hooks carry the weight.
  • Semi-translucent weave: daylight comes through and lands as a soft striped shadow, which is what makes these panels work in deep rooms lit from one side.
  • Cut to your width and drop: made to order rather than trimmed down from stock, so the binding lines stay even across the full width.
  • Two finishes: natural reed, or carbonized for a deeper brown that holds its tone in brighter rooms.
  • Fixed screen or lifting panel: hang it as a permanent divider, or fit a cord so it lifts out of the way when the space needs to open up.

Send three numbers: width, drop, and the gap at the floor. A panel needs enough drop to hang properly, and most projects stop it 20 to 30 cm above the floor, which keeps the sight line open without leaving a gap that reads as unfinished. Custom sizes cost no more than stock sizes, because every panel is cut to order anyway.

Samples before volume. We send a sample panel in seven days so your buyer can hold the weave against the light in the actual room. Bulk orders run 30 to 45 days from approval, and stock colours ship in 10 to 15 days.

We have woven in our own workshop since 2014, with 4,000 m² of production floor and more than 300 weavers. Send the room and the drop, and we will come back with a quote, a sample panel, and the packing plan for the container.

Craftsmanship & Community Impact

Our weavers — many of them women from the villages around our workshop — bring years of practice to every handwoven piece. The woven structure is sturdy and built for long-term use and wholesale distribution. The natural texture adds a warm, rustic touch to any space, suitable for home storage, hotel organization, retail displays, or homestay decoration. Unlike mass-produced goods, our handwoven items show unique details that reflect the maker’s hand, and the work stays in the weaving workshops around our own factory.

Our Manufacturing & Export Strengths

We are a manufacturer, not a trading office — weaving, finishing and packing all happen in our own 4,000 m² workshop. Twelve years of export work means the paperwork is routine: carton markings, barcodes, material composition and country of origin are prepared the way your market requires. Samples go out in about a week; bulk production runs 30–45 days.
